The innovative duet between Dion and Elvis aired on the Amercian Idol TV show in 2007. The video of Elvis wearing a white suit and singing “If I Can Dream” was taken from his 1968 Comeback Special. In fact the official album from that special features a still from Presley’s performance of that song. The inspirational song “If I Can Dream” was written just months after Dr. Martin Luther King’s assassination and contains direct quotes from King.
